Coffee is a natural medicine: 13 things it does to your body

Unlike myths and preconceptions, coffee has many health benefits when consumed in moderation. This hot drink, too often misjudged, contains many natural antioxidants that benefit you. In addition to being our official partner on waking, coffee would be an important ally in the prevention of certain neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease.

Fat burner

According to  a report  published by the University of Oxford, caffeine is a very effective fat burner, especially in the case of people suffering from obesity. By boosting your metabolism, this molecule allows your body to consume more energy by reducing the size of fat cells.

Rich in nutrients

Do not forget that before landing in our cup, coffee comes from seeds rich in  essential nutrients. It contains, among other things, riboflavin (vitamin B2) which helps regenerate tissues, pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and niacin (vitamin B3), both of which make it possible to produce energy through food, lipids, and ingested proteins, and magnesium which contributes to the development of the bone structure.

Physical performance

Drinking coffee half an hour before a sports activity increases your adrenaline level. Beyond  boosting your metabolism , caffeine causes breakage of fat cells, allowing you to work more intensely during physical exercise. Note that coffee must be consumed in addition to your meals, and can in no way play the role of substitute.

Type 2 diabetes

Parkinson disease

Like  Alzheimer’s , Parkinson’s is a neurodegenerative disease whose cure is still untraceable. According to some  studies , it was found that the risk of developing this disease was considerably reduced in people drinking caffeine-based coffee, unlike decaffeinated coffee consumers, who saw no change in their predisposition. to be affected by these diseases.

Protects your liver

The functions of the  liver  are vital and its proper functioning is imperative. If poorly maintained, it can cause diseases such as hepatitis or fatty liver, which can eventually turn into cirrhosis of the liver. Consuming  two cups a day  would reduce the risk of cirrhosis by 50%.

Fights depression

Depression is a major mental disorder that affects more and more people. According to a  study by Harvard University, women who drink 4 or more cups of coffee a day are 20% less likely to suffer from depression. More recently, it has been discovered that this same level of caffeine consumption also reduces the risk of suicide.

 

Caffeine would protect against two types of cancer:  liver  cancer and colorectal cancer. According to a  report  from the Global Fund for Cancer Research, it appears that coffee drinkers are less likely to get liver cancer, and that  2 cups of coffee  a day will reduce the risk of colorectal cancer by 50%.
